The common domesticated chicken. They are not wild in Connecticut, but abundant on farms. It is not uncommon for domesticated animals to escape and become part of the local wildlife, as we have seen in Connecticut with the domestic duck, the monk parakeet, and other species.

Edible Notes: It is obviously edible.
Warnings: Not known to be dangerous.
